Marble Castle
Only when the trail and the cliffs along the bank were behind did I discover that I forgot to take my neutral density filters with me. Had to manage with improvised means, but of course couldn’t make the water completely smooth. Maybe it’s not a big deal after all — the water is extremely beautiful and it is a nice thing its swiftness remains visible here and there. These captures are extremely difficult for color correction — which hasn’t been done here. The cliffs are rather neutral in color, but the water gives a strong blue cast which is added to the diffuse light from an overcast sky. So far I haven’t found an artistic rendering for these images.
