Having sat too long, as it happens, in town, went at nightfall to take a nap in the nature — at least this once. I kept thinking about coming to the Birch pond during the Indian summer, but didn’t make it in time. The town has it all yellow and orange, but in the nature all the leaves are already gone. Nevertheless, took some pictures in twilight, with some fog over the tree tops.

Such is the frame. It is actually a double — I shot on film with a gradient filter and wanted to get an idea of how it’s gonna look. Took out the film camera from the tripod, put in the digital one with all the filters, and there. The image is peculiar: the visible halo around the pine tree is a natural effect. The vignette is present, but only at the right. The top of the trunk had to be brightened to compensate for the filter. The film, however, has not been developed yet.
