The seasons of the old year turned out so intense this blog received no quality time at all. There were some small hikes in the end of the last winter; something in the spring; but in earnest the year began in June.

The main topic of this summer was the thick Lapland forest. Particularly, at night during the end of the polar day. I visited some old places and discovered some new ones as well. Saw plenty of forest, breathed it in, this time almost to my heart’s content.

Autumn began with a trip to Norway, and that trip turned out magnificent above all expectations. Shot for all the stars, reaching plenty. Stars — on the map, markers of the places of interest. Been there for almost two weeks, drove upwards of 2700 km and visited places of an overwhelming beauty. After — had a chance to take some photos of the ending Indian summer hereabouts.

The winter came sometime in October. I stumbled upon it on the always beloved rocky hill of mine, Kivitunturi, which this time again appeared in marvelous beauty. Then took some pictures during a short but snowy time at a river by the stone gates of Kallioportti. And then I left Lapland — with a hope to be back soon. Now to try and tell all the stories.
